Richard started the business in 1990 and is the majority owner of Agri-Management Services. He has 40 years of experience in farm property management, farm real estate, and rural appraisals. He received B.S. and M.S. degrees from Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa, in Ag Economics. He has worked in 67 of the 99 Iowa counties, as well as counties in surrounding states. Richard has been an active member in the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers, including being a past president of the chapter. His experience combined with contacts from this organization is extremely valuable for Agri-Management Services.
Associate Appraiser Farm Manager Real Estate Salesperson
Ben is Richard’s son and a part owner of the business and works in all three areas: farm management, appraisals, and real estate sales. Ben has B.S. and M.S. degrees from Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa, in Animal Science. He was previously employed for 4 1/2 years as the Associate Director, Research & Innovation with The Maschhoffs; a pork production company in Carlyle, Illinois, which is beneficial for swine industry appraisals. His experience and education provides a unique perspective to the business
Associate Appraiser Real Estate Salesperson
Erin is responsible for completing appraisal reports, completing and assisting with real estate transactions and researching rural land values and trends. Erin’s attention to detail and data management skills makes her ideally suited for this role. Erin is a 2012 graduate of Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa, with a B.S. degree in Agricultural Studies. She grew up on a cattle farm near Wheatland, Iowa, and has worked in other sectors of the agricultural industry.
Shawnell’s primary responsibility is to assist Agri-Management Service appraisers in the execution of daily duties and tasks. This includes appraisal request support, supporting documents and data management. She is a 2004 graduate of University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, Iowa, with a B.A. in Accounting. She grew up on a cattle and grain farm between Palo and Shellsburg and has prior experience in accounting, insurance and banking. She previously worked for the Shellsburg Elevator buying and selling grain and dispatching.
Farm Management Assistant
Amy is responsible for the daily farm and company record keeping, working with farm service agencies, as well as general office management. In addition, she develops the company’s marketing items which include real estate brochures, Facebook page, and website. Amy is a 2007 graduate of Northeast Iowa Community college with an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration. She was previously employed at Innovative Ag Services as an accounting associate.
